Thanks to a tip from Harry, we have a nice link to Open Water Swims in 2007. Most of the swims are scheduled in New Jersey but there are a few in CT and RI. Interestingly enough, there are NO New York Open Water Swims listed -- so, this is a great list and link for those of you who LOVE driving to New Jersey:

If you are looking for more local New York City Open Water Swims, take a trip, (via the link below at nycswim.org), To the Manhattan Island Foundation web site at:
http://www.nycswim.org/
Rob and I, (Mike), have completed several of the Manhattan Island Foundation events in both the Hudson and East River. Water was OK and the views are one-of-a-kind!
Best of all, it is already mid-March -- can our REALLY LOCAL Open Water Swims at West Neck Beach be only 8 to 10 weeks away? Yes! Get your wetsuits ready, our long winter of no OWS is almost over!

There's also a great one-mile open-water competition in Coney Island, Brooklyn. The race is called "Grimaldo's Mile", and the link is www.cibbows.org
