FlashBack Friday: Can You ID This Huntington Masters Swimmer AND The Year This Photo Was Taken?

The Fins are a BIG hint to help you identify this young Huntington Masters Swimmer, (pictured BEFORE there was a Huntington Masters Swim Team). The Year this picture was taken? Well, hairstyle and facial hair might be another BIG hint.

Need More Hints? The Academy Award Winner for Best Picture, (though the picture below has our vote!), that year was PATTON and the Best Actor Winner was George C Scott who actually refused to accept either the nomination or the award! Enough Hints and no fair Googling the answer as we've printed the answer under the picture -- don't peek until you've finished guessing!

The picture was taken in 1971 and is our own Bob Miller

2014 Indoor Tri at the Huntington Y

On Sunday morning, February 2, 2014, The Indoor Tri at the Huntington Y was held once again on SuperBowl Sunday. A great way to "lose" some calories BEFORE all those SuperBowl parties got going! Thanks to Jeff Urquhart for these pictures!

February Snow Hides The Warm Pools Inside The Huntington Y

We do seem to be getting our fair share of snow this winter... maybe even a bit more than many of us would like... especially those longing for an open water swim! However, each day in the snow is another day closer to Spring. In the meantime, turning the camera around from the piled up snow around the parking lot reveals a sunny Tuesday morning that has a certain charm until you listen to the latest weather forecast of MORE snow, sleet, ice and rain still to come this week. Get in the pool while you can!
